Breckstudio is an Austin, Texas-based architecture studio focused on a collaborative process to achieve design solutions that meet a range of client needs. The studio is focused on developing architecture that fits the lifestyles of our clients, is highly refined, carefully tailored to the land, and with strong modernist sensibilities. The studio design process is guided by the belief that the greatest luxury of all is a strong connection with nature. At the studio’s core is a rigorous site-specific way of designing combined with a high-touch close client-architect partnership. This approach has led the studio to ever greater success since being established in early 2018.

BRECK CRAPARO
The studio is led by Breck Craparo, AIA. As the studio principal architect, Breck is responsible for design concept and is the steward of the client journey from vision to reality. Through a collaborative, client-centered approach, Breck ensures every relationship is grounded in trust and exceptional service.
Breck received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from San Diego’s Woodbury University School of Architecture. Breck interned with the world-renowned office of Olson Kundig in Seattle, then joined Austin’s iconic Dick Clark + Associates, where he served as project architect before founding Austin-based architecture and design firm Breckstudio in 2018.

STEVIE CHEN
Stevie brings deep expertise in project management, guiding every project in the studio with precision and foresight. Her ability to anticipate challenges, coordinate with consultants, and keep projects moving smoothly is a cornerstone of our success and the client experience.
Originally from southeast China, Stevie moved to South Carolina and graduated from Clemson University with a Master’s degree in Architecture. After working with renowned firms Joeb Moore and HKS, she relocated to Austin and joined the studio where she could focus on high-touch custom residential projects. In her spare time, she loves visiting museums, galleries and roaming around the city to discover new foods.

ELLIS KAUFFMAN
Ellis works closely with the principal architect while leading the technical BIM digital modeling and drawing standards. His experience significantly moves the work forward. He also seamlessly integrates virtual reality experiences into the studio’s design and client presentation process.
An Austin native, Ellis graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture. On the weekends, Ellis tinkers with late model cars and vintage motorcycles.

MARY ANN FERGIE
Mary Ann works closely with the principal architect and is responsible for advancing the design work forward. Her comprehensive skills in precision digital modeling and drawing development ensure each project meets the highest standards of clarity and accuracy, leading to the effective execution of each project.
A graduate of the University of Texas. Although hailing from the small city of Corpus Christi, her heart belongs to Austin. Her passion for design stems from her family's travels across the world, from Europe to Asia to South America. Outside of the office, Mary Ann enjoys baking pastries, watching Survivor, and wandering the city’s downtown streets, admiring buildings, new and old.
